Engineering Trust Charter

Argus is built for engineers, by engineers. These five principles guide every product decision we make and every line of code we ship.

1

Metadata Only

We never ingest, store, or analyze source code. Argus works exclusively with metadata -- commit hashes, token counts, timestamps, and cost data. Your intellectual property stays exactly where it belongs: in your repositories.

2

Transparency

Engineers can see exactly what data we collect about them. Every metric, every data point is visible through the individual dashboard. There are no hidden analytics or shadow profiles. What you see is what we have.

3

Privacy by Design

Individual data is visible only to the engineer and their direct manager. Peer comparisons use anonymized cohort data. We build privacy controls into every feature from the start, not as an afterthought.

4

Honest Metrics

We show confidence levels and acknowledge limitations in our analytics. AI-assisted code detection uses probabilistic models, and we clearly communicate uncertainty. We would rather show less data than misleading data.

5

Data Sovereignty

Your data, your rules. Export all of your data at any time in standard formats. Request complete deletion and we will process it within 7 business days. You retain full ownership and control over your organization's data.
